Major Moscow's Strikes Eliminate Power Across Kyiv

Energy infrastructure targeted in Ukraine
Ukraine's energy systems have faced increased attacks in the past few days

Throughout the evening, Russian missile and drone strikes have led to electricity outages in multiple districts of the capital city, Kyiv.

Several individuals were injured while residents in the city's east were experienced blackouts and faced problems to drinking water, per reports from city officials.

Meanwhile, a young boy was fatally injured in a distinct assault in the Zaporizhzhia area in the southeastern part, according to local officials.

Russian forces has escalated attacks on electrical systems over the last fortnight, while Ukrainian leadership has demanded "substantial measures" from international partners to increase pressure on Moscow.

"What's needed is not symbolic gestures but firm measures - from the America, Europe and the Group of Seven - in providing protection systems and applying restrictions," was stated in a public message.

Officials stated that numerous aerial vehicles and over thirty projectiles attacked energy facilities, describing such attacks as "strategic and deliberate" and against "everything that sustains normal life" as winter approaches.

Energy officials said Russia was "conducting extensive attacks" and technical staff were striving to restore power.

A wave of strikes damaged power facilities and residential structures in the capital.

Multiple people hurt in the assaults on the city have been taken to hospital, as confirmed by local officials.

Area administrators said the metropolitan region came under significant strikes throughout the evening. A young boy was killed and three other people were wounded.

National leaders told reporters that Russia was deliberately attempting to destroy the country's energy grid, with strikes already affecting energy systems.

He said technical personnel and officials were preparing for further attacks.
